I drive down after the forecast band of rain only to sit in the car for a while whilst another band made its way through. Meanwhile shore dump was a bit daunting and it did not look that windy. Once the rain had passed blue sky and sunshine brought an increased breeze so rigged a 7m but only just about planed. A few other on 7.6 to 8.5m were having a better time. the breeze soon picked up and 7m was fine.Sea was big but not as messy as usual for the size, with some quite nice swell to turn on. Wind increased some more so I changed to a smaller board and 6m, then had a great time blasting back and forth. Once the tide turned the sea smoothed and was quite nice with some rollers. Getting on for four hours on the water, with six out altogether and five kiters turned up later. Mark, Roger and Paul went to Levington to avoid the shore dump, I wonder how they got on. They missed a good day at the Dip.
